Position: Sonographer

Location: Lewiston, ME

Department: Ultrasound Diagnostics

Shifts Available: Days

Pay: up to $1,231.20 –$1,727.60 gross per week

Assignment Length: 12 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Perform general ultrasound and vascular ultrasound procedures according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
  • Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic ultrasound images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal scans.
  • Process, review, and transmit images to PACS for storage and physician review.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

1. RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required upon hire and maintained.
2. Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation upon hire.
3. Previous one (1) year experience required.
4. Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
5. Proficient computer skills
