Position: Registered Nurse 

Location: Mesquite, Tx

Department: Labor and Delivery

Shifts Available: Full Time-Days

Pay: up to $1,502.00 to $2,027.60 gross pay per week

Responsibilities

  • Maternal Monitoring:They check blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and monitor for signs of complications like preeclampsia or infection
  • Labor Support: They assist with positioning the patient, guiding breathing techniques, and offering comfort measures like massage, cold packs, birthing balls, or hydrotherapy
  • IV Therapy: Starting and maintaining IVs for hydration, medication administration, or anesthesia
  • Patient Advocacy: Nurses act as advocates during labor, especially for patients who may have specific birth plans or cultural needs
  • Newborn Care: They dry, warm, and assess the baby immediately after birth (Apgar scoring), assist with cord clamping, and administer prophylactic medications

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1.Current and valid state RN License

2.BLS certification required

3.ACLS certification required

4.NRP certification required

5.Basic Fetal monitoring required

6.AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate required

7.One (1) year of RN L&D experience; required
