The Staff RN is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. He / She will communicate with the physician about the changes in the patients’ clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and symptomatology. The staff RN recognizes life threatening situation/ changes in conditions and/or responses to treatment quickly and accurately responds. The Staff RN maintains accurate and relevant record of all patient care. The Staff RN is knowledgeable about EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies. The Staff RN actively participating in cost containment and assisting in accurate charging for patient services.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License.
2. Current BLS certificate required.
3. Current ACLS certificate required.
4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required.
5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation required.
6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting required.
7. In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN required.
8. EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 required upon hire.
9. Non-OB facilities: NRP certificate required upon hire and maintain current.
10. Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) required.

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $42.42 to $57.10. This compensation estimate is specific to Illinois and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
